Like all the best couples (we're not biased at all), Tyler and Amanda met as coworkers. And just like us, he thought she was super cute from day #1 but it took her a little while to get into it. But eventually they fell in love, and if there was ever a love story to be set to music, it's this one.
Read MoreWe all know that caterpillars are harmless. But how do we know? Through experience, or by someone else telling us that they won't hurt us. As I stood there witnessing this moment between father and daughter, I couldn't help but think about my own relationship with the heavenly Father.
Read MoreIt's kind of funny if you look back through history about the different uses of the word Prom. It has meant "leisurely walking", "to drive animals with shouts", to "walking by the sea", and finally in the late 1800's it finally took on the meaning of a school dance. How they made the connection between driving animals with shouts to school dances, I don't know. [Well...]

Read MoreApril showers bring May flowers... along with a whole lot of grumpiness. Seriously, I don't know what it is about the rain that just ruins a day. I mean, I get it. Your hair looks like Monica Geller in Barbados, you can't wear that reeeeeeally cute outfit, business slows down, you can't go to the park, and you're not able to go on that 5 mile jog you planned (like that was really going to happen)....
Read MoreI am so very excited to introduce this series that is about to take place on our blog every Friday. Why do we do what we do? Because we're passionate about family! Family should be more than just the people you share a house with, or the next leaf on the branch at Ancestry.com, or the weird uncle who visits for two weeks every year and feels way too comfortable in his tighty-whities. Family should be a driving force, an inseparable team, like the Avengers - family should thrive. We personally believe wholeheartedly that, in order for that to happen, God has to be at the center of it. And we want to help you thrive as a family!
Read MoreWe started out this session without any idea of what was ahead! Not only did our cheeks and stomachs hurt from all the laughter and ridiculousness, but they serenaded us with song and music at the end. The Caspers are not only absolutely gorgeous (I mean, just check out their pictures), but they are even more beautiful inside - and I'm not just talking about their singing voices....
Read MoreYou may remember that a few months ago, we had the opportunity to photograph the Patterson family. There was trespassing, there was mild vandalism of church property (thanks Grace Community Church!), the police got involved at one point - so basically it was exactly what we had hoped for with an awesome family like this - but then we lost daylight and had to wrap up the session early....
Read MoreThe Parker family is so encouraging and uplifting for us. Every time we are ever with them, we leave better people. Their heart for people and for our community is inspiring, but that passion is nothing in comparison to the love they have for their two year old daughter, Anna. Anna could not be any cuter! (who read that in Chandler's voice!?! Haha.) We loved walking around while she explored the world around her, taking everything in. If only we could slow down and enjoy God's world with even half as much awe as she does.
Read MoreWe remember when these boys, Josiah and Noah, were shorter than both of us. Now we're the ones who look up to them. Olivia, thank you for staying the same height ;) In all seriousness, these kids are incredible and godly.
Read MoreWe've known Dale and Lisa for about ten years now. Lisa was my principal in high school, and Dale was one of my first bosses. (And a couple of years after he hired me, he hired the man who is now my husband!) It has been an amazing opportunity to watch and learn from them, whether it's about faith, how to have a healthy marriage, or how to run a successful business....
Read MoreCelebrating the Jewish feasts are one of our favorite things to do throughout the year. I mean, seriously, there's A TON of ahmazing food at each one! This past week was Purim, which is the feast that was started after Queen Esther saved her people from annihilation. Oh no! A little known fact about Queen Esther is that her given Hebrew name was Hadassah. According to Hollywood, she changed it so they wouldn't know her identity as a Jew. This is who we named our daughter after! And an even less known fact is that the eunuch who delivered messages for Queen Esther was named Hatach. This is who we named our cat after. Yes, he is a eunuch himself...
