Jonathan & Hannah's In-Home Lifestyle Session with Jessica Lapp Photography

Our home is our place of peace. It's where our most sacred work is done, where we are raising our babies to know and love the Lord. Like Abraham and Sarah's tent, we strive to make a place to welcome visitors, to feed them and send them on their way more complete and more at peace than before. It's where we study and where we work. It's where we are most vulnerable, where our marriage is built up, and our family is strengthened.

The Sabbath is a time when God has said that he will meet with His people. It's a remembrance of His Creation and a glimpse of His Redemption to come. From sunset on Friday until sunset on Saturday is a time of special holiness. Our family sits down to a dinner with friends on Friday night, we wake up to a pancake breakfast, and (when we're not spending the day rejoicing and serving one of our couples at their wedding) we spend a lot of one-on-one time with our babies, with reading books, with enjoying the outdoors, with peace and joy.

These two things - the Sabbath, and our home - are cherished greatly in our lives these days. that's why I asked Jess to come capture these precious moments while our children are still so little. I couldn't be more happy with the way she captured my favorite people, in my favorite place.

Welcome to our home. If you like what you see, we'd love to have you over for dinner on Friday. :)
