AJ & Emma's Private Garden Wedding, Pt. I: Getting Ready | Virginia Wedding Photographers in Evington, VA

AJ and Emma Wedding Day-5.jpg

Emma's vision for her wedding day was breathtaking, and all the hard work and attention to detail was paying off now. The color palette of light grey and dusky magenta complemented the vast quantities of succulents and bouquets of flowers around the property. Emma and her bridesmaids got ready a few minutes away at a friend's carriage house, then they came back to the property for Emma and her mom to put on her wedding dress. Her father had built the house himself years ago. It was kind of perfect that his elder daughter would get married in the garden out back, and that the two of them would have a father-daughter-first-look together on the steps that he had built.

Just a little further down the driveway, AJ was with his father and groomsmen, running last-minute errands for Emma, telling jokes, and helping each other with their collars and ties. Neither AJ nor Emma seemed nervous, but they were both VERY ready to see each other. They decided to have a first look and they wanted it to be just the two of them, soaking up the moments of the day. So we cleared everyone out of the garden and called in the dads and the groomsmen to stand guard for us. AJ & Emma had the property all to themselves, and it was here that he swung her in his arms and whispered, "I can't believe you're going to be my wife."
