Jacob & Stephanie

Stephanie and I used to spend our days dressing up and playing wedding as little girls in our aunt’s basement. As incredible as our imagination was at the time, I don’t think either of us could have dreamed up how absolutely breath-taking her wedding day was going to be, or what a perfect match Jake would be for her. <3

Jake & Stephanie’s wedding was a stunning day at the Black Iris Estate just outside Indianapolis. Crystal chandeliers, golden centerpieces with thousands of cascading flowers and candlelit banquet tables filled out the huge hall. Stephanie commissioned an unforgettable 4-tier wedding cake with navy and gold accents, sight unseen, that the baker executed flawlessly. From Jake’s side of the family, they incorporated a traditional Pittsburg Cookie Table with more than 3,500 homemade cookies!

Even when things didn’t go exactly to plan and the rain started pouring down an hour before ceremony time, Jake and Stephanie adapted with grace. Their outdoor ceremony was moved in to the banquet hall at the last minute. We didn’t know if the rain would stop in time for any outdoor portraits. But as the reception started and the sun started to set behind the gray clouds, we saw our opportunity and grabbed Jake and Stephanie to go outside for just a few minutes. And we came away from those few private moments together with some of the besstttt portraits!

The rest of the evening was a wild celebration. And in case you were wondering, almost every one of the 3,500 cookies was eaten. We loved being part of this stunning wedding! Thank you Jake and Stephanie!
