The Couple

These two beautiful souls have been on quite a journey already. It has been incredible to see the Lord’s faithfulness in them. Aaron kept saying, “No matter what, we’re getting married May 16th.” The months leading up to the date became more and more grim, to the point that they thought they couldn’t have a single guest at the wedding. “No matter what”. But in faith they kept taking steps toward their marriage, and the Lord heard.
Just days before their wedding, Michigan miraculously loosened the lockdown so that Aaron and Joye were able to have 50 guests with them for their messianic Jewish ceremony, beginning their lives together under the canopy of a chuppah, within the shelter of a church. Their joy was not complete without all the loved ones who weren’t able to come - but that didn’t stop everyone from celebrating on their own!
Aaron’s family back home in Israel, together with members of their congregation, got dressed up and had a dinner party (including another wedding cake!) after the live stream of the ceremony. Many others all across the world logged in to celebrate from their own homes, too.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg to the people whose lives they have touched. Their love and commitment to serve others is so powerful. I can only imagine the lives they’re going to impact, the hearts they’re going to love, and the souls that will be changed by their encounters.
