Jim & Jasmine’s Southwest-Style Wedding in Danville, Virginia

At their rehearsal dinner, Jim and Jasmine were so nervous they couldn’t even quite look at each other. She apologized to him, but this was such a big big deal to be making this covenant, and to be doing it in front of so many people. On the day-of, as we were waiting for the ceremony to begin, Jasmine told us, “I just knew it was going to rain. So when I was picking out a venue, I made sure it would be covered.” She handled it wonderfully, and we were happy for them - the sages said to pray during the rain, because it means God is in an especially generous mood.

During their ceremony, they were prayed over and blessed with powerful words from the minister, words that we echo wholeheartedly. Feelings will come and go, but the seriousness with which you approached this covenant, made in front of allllll those people you love, is what will make your marriage last. We love you guys. Thank you for entrusting your memories with us.
